Weight Reduction

GVR4s are not light cars. They are at least 200 lbs heavier than an equivalent DSM. I didn't get a chance to weigh my car before I started all the weight reduction but a stock GVR4 with a sunroof probably weighs around 3400 lbs. I weighed just about everything on a bathroom scale so don't take the exact weight as gospel. A few things are estimated weights and I'll get more exact numbers when I remove them from the car again.

Things I am still planning to add or remove that will adjust the current total: +6 pt roll cage -replace leaking power steering with manual rack -lighter hood and trunk lid -finish removing interior sound deadening -lexan sunroof or none (track only) > -lighter wheels (this is hard to do) -ABS -other interior mods?
