About

Chris Plesko started out racing triathlons in high school and college on the way to finding mountain biking and a love of trails. His passion for long distance racing blossomed first with the Leadville 100 before growing beyond to self-supported, ultra distance events. Always aboard his rigid singlespeed, he has set records in races such as Tour Divide, the Arizona Trail Race, and the Colorado Trail Race while balancing the demands of being a middle school math teacher and raising two boys, JJ and Ben, with his wife Marni in Westminster, Colorado.

He is currently the Tour Divide singlespeed record holder with a time of 15 days, 8 hours, and 1 minute.

For 2020 he will be changing gears to tackle the adventure of the Canning Stock Route in Australia as an unsupported singlespeed adventure. Follow along here for updates, blog posts, and live tracking.
